Greenlight was started as a club for kids that didn't fit the strict mold of a basketball player that mainstream clubs wanted. Everyone is welcome at Greenlight, all we ask is that our athletes give their all and have fun on the court!

Greenlight Basketball Club was established in 2017 by Fiona Nourse and Rob Linton, originally as a basketball academy with a vision to create a safe, inclusive, and community-focused environment for young athletes to grow and thrive. In 2018, Greenlight entered its first domestic team — marking the start of something truly special.

From humble beginnings, the club has steadily grown and continues to expand. Today, we proudly field 21 teams in the SA Church Central League, a testament to the passion and dedication of everyone involved.

On 6th April 2025, a significant chapter in Greenlight’s journey was marked when Fiona passed on her final assist as Greenlight's owner, officially handing over the reins to Chadd and Renee. With the same passion and drive that Fiona has shown since day one, Chadd and Renee are committed to continuing Greenlight's mission — a family- and community-focused club built on love, respect, and inclusion.

While bringing their own unique flair to the club, Chadd and Renee are deeply focused on honouring Greenlight’s roots and ensuring its legacy continues to shine brightly for many, many years to come.

As well as competing in the SA Church central league, we also participate in basketball carnivals and put on regular clinics for both GreenLight and non-Greenlight Athletes.
